Connect.....

If i were to sit here and ask you 'what does friendship look like to you?' I have no doubt in my mind that a range of answers's from life long bond's to since birth to perhaps a spark with a stranger today, with the potential to evolve into something magical , would come my way.

Yet, if you were to potentially ask me....i'd have a single worded response.

Connection

See, somewhere, ironically, with the ever-growing social media platform's and technology, connection...real, authentic, raw human connection, is withering away like a dying rose. With each beautiful petal disconnecting from it's source of life.

We have become so so accustom and conditioned to finding an easier, faster and 'effective' route, that we've slowly but surely built a generation wanting what they want, when they want, and that mean's NOW.

In today's society we expect so much, but give so little. So caught up in out own live's and projecting such 'happy' and 'perfect' images through social media that to these so called friend's or followers. It seems easy to lose sight of what true connection is.

It's not about how many follower's or friend's you have, What matter's is the coffee or tea you go out for with that acquaintance. Maybe that surprise visit you've been meaning to do for some time now, for that long-lost friend or yours.

Its taking the time to put away your phone, lapyop... whatever may be a distraction, and sitting down to catch up with your mother, father, sister or brother.

To connect through a touch, a glance, a smile, real laughter til you cry. Human body language is so much more powerful and meaningful than any emoji ever will be.
