PC Gaming Vs Console Gaming

Ever since the introduction of console gaming the factions of pc gamers and console gamers have been at each other's throats. This debate has raised on since the 80s and it doesn't look like it is going to snow down anytime soon. some believe that the computer is superior to the console and others believe that the console crushes the computer with its gaming prowess. If you are looking to get a new gaming device it may be good to consider which one is better between the pc and console platforms.

The first thing most people will consider when buying a new gaming device is the price. In this category gaming consoles have pc platforms be hands down. This is because you will be hard pressed to find a gaming pc for under $500 the aspects comparable to a machine from this year. meanwhile most gaming consoles are at the high-end $500 and can be found in some shops for as little as $100. with an actual gaming pc you are paying for the performance that is provided not to mention the versatility that you have compared to a playstation or xbox which is specialised for entertainment use. If you would like to minimise cost then you should think about building your own gaming rig which could run you between 600 and 900 dollars; this may sound like a daunting task but it's actually pretty easy I've built 3 gaming rigs with 0 knowledge and 100% youtube.

The next important thing bad gamers would look into when buying a new device is what type of game selection is available on that platform. We know this can be an issue when choosing between xbox and playstation because those platforms after have games that are exclusive to their platform and not the other. this issue is mostly mitigated when it comes to using a pc rig because nearly every game that comes out is available on pc as well as on console. one thing you may not like is that you will not be able to use your xbox or playstation internet subscriptions to game with your friends online and less they too are using one of the pc gaming platforms. The other awesome thing about pcs is that you can purchase classic games and play them with little need for upgrades.

Arguably the most important thing in your decision for buying a new gaming system is going to be the graphics. Nowadays with the advent of 4k and hdr technology playstation and xbox may sound like a great day for getting powerful graphics out of your gaming device. the fact is that if you have a pc gaming rig then you are likely to have far better graphics performance than those using a gaming console. this is because in a pissy way you will have a graphics processor that is equivalent to a gtx 1060 or better most likely come and you will be able to change it when there is more advanced graphics available unlike the gaming consoles with restrict you too using whatever internal graphics have been supply. This versatility alone makes buying a pc gaming rig much more attractive than buying a gaming console which will restrict you and quickly become obsolete.

Most gamers are usually pretty reluctant to switch from a console to the pc platforms but once they have it's usually no going back. Gamers get a taste for the lightning fast crystal clear worlds that are cast upon their screens why using pc rigs and turn away from their local councils and costly subscriptions. After I built my first gaming pc last year I can say that I was hooked and haven't played my xbox since, now the xbox spends its days as a media-player in the living room for the family.

That's actually true, once you go PC you rarely go back.
It happened so that after a PS1 I've always been on a PC, what exactly (out of the above) made you switch over from a console?
I've actually been doing some "historical" gaming posts lately, covering noteworthy games released in certain years (just made one about 98 and 2000) and looking back at it there is hardly any game that would be solely worth choosing a console for, not to mention that a PC is capable of emulating all existing older console you can think of!

I had been off gaming totally for a few years then when I started getting back into programming I was made aware of the huge difference between PC gaming and console. my last console was a ps2 back in 2006 i think.

I recently got an Xbox One for free with an Asus rig I bought and the difference in the experience is crazy. the Xbox cant hold a candle to the GTX 1070 and i7 processor performance. plus the other media capabilities of a computer make a console seem kinda redundant.

I would say I had more fun when playing console games bc of being able to play multiplayer in the same room with your friends.

But now since most games are not creating that feature and only creating the game for a single player to play online with their friends, Better to go with pc gaming.

yeah back in the day console games were better because of the connection with pals. today we can do that on a PC and even play the classic games that won't work on that new console.

I used to love paling smash bros with my friends after school, now we play Starwars online at work lol.

Yeah, can't beat that or even Mario Kart 64... Now those were fun days.
