"Do bin i her, do gher i hin"-Fotochallenge zum 5. Berndorfer Fotomarathon

Wenn du meine Beiträge verfolgst, hast du sicher schon festgestellt, dass ich mich mit Fotografie, aber auch mit Inspiration und Orten auseinandersetze. Für mich gibt es Orte, die mich unendlich beflügeln und inspirieren, an denen ich mich wohlfühle und ich mich entfalten kann. Ein solcher Ort ist für mich unter anderem meine zweite Heimat in der Ukraine. Die Ukraine ist es auch, die mich - wenn auch über Umwege - zu dieser Challenge inspiriert hat. Wie es dazu kommt - dazu später mehr.

Was gibt es zu gewinnen?

Leider bin ich weder Wal noch Delfin, aber Kleinvieh macht auch Mist, wie man so schön sagt. Ich verlose daher:

Was ist der 5. Berndorfer Fotomarathon?

Ich denke, das fragst du dich wohl noch vor "was muss ich machen um zu gewinnen?" (Das beantworte ich aber dann auch gleich als nächsten Punkt.) Der Berndorfer Fotomarathon ist aus meinem ersten Besuch in einem ukrainischen Frauenhaus entstanden. Seit 2007 organisiere ich Benefiz-Events. Die beiden Damen sind im Frauenhaus Rodyna rund um die Uhr gemeinsam mit einer Übersetzerin und einer Psychologin rund um die Uhr im Einsatz, um jungen Frauen und ihren Kindern, die zumeist vor häuslicher Gewalt flüchten müssen, einen Reset-Knopf für ihr Leben anzubieten.

Daten und Fakten zum Berndorfer Fotomarathon

Der Berndorfer Fotomarathon findet am 2. Juni 2018 zwischen 9 und 19 Uhr im niederösterreichischen Berndorf statt - und der Gewinner oder die Gewinnerin dieser Challenge darf daran gratis teilnehmen! Teilnehmer*innen müssen allerdings vor Ort sein. Der Gewinn des Tickets ist allerdings auch übertragbar. Wenn du also zu weit weg bist, darfst du gern eine/n Freund/in vorbeischicken.

Was macht man bei einem Fotomarathon?

Kurz gesagt: Fotos. Du bekommst eine Themenliste, die du im Laufe des Tages abarbeiten musst. Bildbearbeitung ist nur erlaubt, soweit die Kameraprogramme etwas voreinstellen lassen. Am Abend lade ich die Fotos von deiner Speicherkarte runter und übergebe sie einer großartigen Jury, die die Fotos bewertet. Zu gewinnen gibt es wie jedes Jahr fantastische Preise aus der Region und darüber hinaus. Teilnehmen dürfen alle, die sich für Fotografie begeistern - ganz unabhängig vom subjektiven Level, auf dem ihr fotografiert.

Achtung, (neue) Geocacher/innen: Für euch liegt auch ein Logbuch auf, da der Fotomarathon auch ein Geocacher-Sideevent hat!

Was muss ich machen, um die Challenge zu gewinnen?

Das ist ganz einfach: Erstelle auf deiner Seite einen Beitrag, der die folgenden Kriterien erfüllt:

• Der Beitrag enthält ein Foto, das du selbst geschossen hast. Wann und mit welcher Kamera ist egal. Das Bild darf auch bearbeitet sein - muss es aber nicht.
• Das Thema des Fotos: "Do bin i her / do gher i hin" - gesucht sind also Bilder aus deiner Heimat, einem Ort der dich inspiriert, an dem du dich zu Hause fühlst oder den du sonst irgendwie gut findest.
• Ein kurzer Text (ein bis zwei Absätze) begleitet das Bild.
• Als Tags verwendest du bitte unbedingt "photography" und "berndorferfotomarathon". Die anderen Tags sind frei wählbar.
• Wenn der Beitrag erstellt ist, schreib bitte einen Kommentar unter diesen Beitrag hier, in dem du einen Link zu deinem Beitrag erstellst.

Hinweise:

• Du darfst Steepshot verwenden, musst aber nicht.
• Du kannst nur EIN Foto für die Challenge einreichen.
• Ich freue mich über Resteems. Sie verändern aber deine Gewinnchancen nicht.
• Ob du Foto monochrom, bunt oder mit Colourkey aufnimmst steht dir ganz frei.
• Das Foto darf sowohl analog als auch digital aufgenommen worden sein - auch Instant-Fotos sind herzlich willkommen!
• Die Deadline ist in genau 7 Tagen ab Veröffentlichung dieses Beitrags, also am Montag, dem 10.04. um ca. 2 Uhr früh. Damit hast du noch den ganzen Sonntag Zeit, um dich kreativ und fotografisch auszutoben.
• Die Fotos werden von einem Teil des Berndorfer-Fotomarathon-Teams gesichtet und bewertet; die Sieger per Kommentar auf ihren Kommentar unter diesem Beitrag verständigt.

If you follow me on Steemit or Busy, you have probably already noticed that I spend a lot of time thinking and writing about photography, inspiration, and places. I know places, that inspire me immensely, that make me feel at home - and where I can unleash my creativity. Such a place is - amongst others - my second home Ukraine. My second home has also inspired me to create this challenge. You might wonder how that happened - I will tell you later in this post.

The prizes

Unfortunately, I'm neither a whale nor a dolphin. However, many a mickle makes a muckle. Therefore, I will give away three prizes:

What is a photo marathon?

I think you probably wondered that before you thought of criteria for winning this challenge (I will answer that in a second). I started organising the photo marathon because of my first trip to Ukraine. I have been organising charity events for a Ukrainian women's refuge since 2007. The two ladies working at the women's refuge Rodyna 24/7 with the help of an interpreter and a psychologist, offer women and their children, who have in many cases been the victims of domestic violence, a reset button for their lives.

Berndorf's 5th photo marathon takes place on 2 Juni 2018 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. in Berndorf, Lower Austria - and the winner of this competition can take part for free! Participants have to be in Berndorf to be able to participate. If you win the ticket but can't be there, don't worry - you may give your ticket to a friend as a gift.

What does one do at a photo marathon?

Well, in a nutshell: You take pictures. You get a list of themes you have to turn into pictures throughout the day. Picture modifications are only allowed in-camera. In the evening, I will download your pictures and give them to a fantastic jury, who will then give you points for each photo. The prizes are donated by regional and national sponsors. Anyone who is interested in photography - regardless of their knowledge of it - is allowed to participate.

Attention, dear geocachers: If you don't feel like taking pictures, you will be able to just log the event cache that takes place as a side event.

What do I have to do to win this challenge?

It's actually quite simple: Create a post on your Steemit or Busy page, which fulfills the following criteria:

• The post contains a picture you have taken yourself. It does not matter when you took the picture or what kind of camera you used. You can also submit processed and manipulated images - but you don't have to.
• The theme is: "Do bin i her / do gher i hin" (this is where I am from / this is where I belong) - so any picture from where you are from, a place that inspires you, a place where you feel at home or that you just simply like qualifies for an entry.
• A few words (about one to two paragraphs) accompany the image.
• Please use the tags "photography" and "berndorferfotomarathon". You can use any additional tags you like.
• Once your post has been created, please post a link to it in the comments below this post here.

Tips:

• You are allowed to use Steepshot but you don't have to.
• You can only submit ONE picture.
• I am happy about resteems but they won't have an influence on your chance of winning the competition.
• You may submit monochromatic, colourful or colour key images.
• Analogue and digital pictures can be submitted - instant pictures are also more than welcome!
• You can submit your posts within the next 7 days - this means that the deadline will be on Monday, 10 April, 2 a.m. CEST. This means you've got all Sunday to get creative.
• The pictures will be shown to a part of the photo marathon team, who will then pick the winner. The winners will be notified via a reply to their comment below this post here.
