RE: How I Steem (Guidance for users who are struggling)
Honestly, with the state of the world, I believe most of us are entitled to free money, but I don’t think it can work like that as there are still many who would just take advantage. I’m focused on shifting trust back toward people so money is not as much of an issue, but in order to do that, I need to help the money reach more people cause that’s where all the power and trust has been stored.
Why do you think that everyone is entitled to free money?
Maybe not “free money” but everyone is entitled to food, clothing, and shelter because Our Mother freely provides that for everybody. So no, everyone is not entitled to steak and eggs breakfast. But yes, everyone should be entitled to beans, rice, corn and fruit (or whatever grows abundantly were you are from).
Okay, but someone has to grow them. Someone needs to have the land to grow them. And that means someone needs to invest money, time and effort to grow and market them. So I do not still see how they could be free for everyone.
I believe nothing should be free in this world, but the fundamental things could be given as exchange for some sort of skill.
We are already growing enough food (in the United States) to feed us.
It’s our distribution system that is broken.
40% of our food is wasted and ends up in landfills.
Companies like Nestle are literally stealing water (from drought distressed California) for corporate profit. Perhaps that’s where the money can com from.
Stop corporate welfare - there’s more money and manpower.
Teach your military to pick crops for basic training - more “free” money.
Make schools have gardens and let them distribute the food to their students and families, have parents (who can now spend less time at work) volunteer in the garden - more “free” labor. The land is already paid for.
Gardeners are paid on a daily basis to tend to our grasses and shrubs - plant some tomatoes and basil instead - more “free” food - the land is already there.
It’s possible.
