Why Does @Verbal-D Post? Why Do You? Is It For The Money? (Original Blog)

After reading @j3dy's post, Having Fun On Steemit? C30, D3, Week Recap, Work, there comes a time when we self reflect on our actions and Why we are here within this Steemit Community.

Please do join the conversation and check @j3dy's post Having Fun On Steemit? C30, D3, Week Recap, Work
I include below the entire quotation of the comment I left @j3dy responding to the question, "Why do you post?" which I feel is a very important question to reflect and look back on. I hope you find some profound notions of Why I post in my reply.

Great easy going post. You formulate your ideas clearly and I appreciate that in your writing. To answer your question, I too, as many have, been writing, creating music, and sharing my experiences audibly and through literature more than a decade and a half before I discovered steemit through my brother-in-law @sirwinchester. The community is highly diverse and multi-faceted, and the creativity that stems from each pondering and unique individual with their own talents and gifts provides so much quality inspiration to feed off and induce a cycle of gifting and receiving the contents we share through reciprocity. Sure not everyone comments or gives their feedback, that could be due to disinterest, time management, or laziness, but for those who do engage in meaningful conversations and taking time to make a genuine impact with their words, intentions and energy, hopefully positive, then great moments are created also with the content and dialogue tied to them.
The monetary compensation is a definite plus, but if one goes down my page for example, I don't get paid for everything I do, and I don't tie my heart and expectations to every post based off of the monetary value.
As an artist, I realize, I will never feel my creations can equal monetary compensation to what I feel they are worth, however I write because I want to make a difference in the world, a positive impact and be a role model of good influence in my community, be it here in the digital world of Steemit, or, first and foremost in my household with my family and children and everyone else in the real physical dimension. I've never been so creative in my life, and this is due to Steemit and I am honing and sharpening my skills, while also networking and making great connections and new friends and learning more about myself and others and the world everyday. This is what makes Steemit a great place to be, and why I write what I do, and share what I can from the depths of my very being. Great post and thanks for writing this and informing me, I believe I shall now post this response on my page as well and link back to yours since you sparked such a reply out of me. Upvoted

Thanks for reading this post in its entirety, we never what we will inspire out of each other and I believed this was worth sharing to remind us all of our own personal reasons and journey forward in this wonderful Steemitopia.

I'll still be continuing accepting donations until I can reach my goal to fly out to america with my children and wife to visit my family as it is very urgent indeed.
I've raised $132 and .77 cents of Steemit Currency in total from both my Posts and Donations from Steemit Community Members this 2017 forward and $00.00 in US Dollar Donations so far towards my goal of $ 6,000.00 (Six Thousand) US Dollars and will keep everyone updated with every new future post that I submit.
This total amount will not only include donations I've received to the Paypal account I've provided: [email protected], but it will also include the Steemit Currency that I accrue/receive from all of my personal posts starting the 1st of January of 2017 forward calculated after a 48 hour time frame is finished for the payout cycle of each post to avoid miscalculating the fluctuating price of Steemit Currency.
For more information on that, please check my New Year's/Happy Bday Post
Thanks sincerely again in advance for all your help, anything and everything helps.
A SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL GENEROUS AND GIVING DONORS HERE FROM THE STEEMIT COMMUNITY!

Thank you! An I'm very happy that I've sparked some interested. I'm actually giving the steemit Whitepaper a listen since I'm tired of reading from the endless posts :)
I recommend it to anyone and it's high time I gave it some attention.
Lots of themes are touched upon there , about the long term goals and the steps taken to reduce the overall abuse.
I was going to tell you that the comment deserved a post and now there is :) , funny gifs too :)
