✨ The Crypto Roller Coaster Continues - Celebrating My 38th Week on Steemit!

Well it seems like every few weeks we have to deal with some government, or comment from some traditional business mogul, or whatever being written up in a news story that sends the crypto markets into a frenzy. This week we learned about the MT Gox trustee hselling off a half a billion worth of bitcoin in 6000 BTC blocks that seemed to time with all the flash crashes in the price of the last few months and some crap about the SEC throwing around "rules" for crypto.

If we are in this for the long run, pushing blockchain as "the next best thing since sliced bread", then these little bumps in the road should not have such a dramatic effect on the prices. They definitely all shouldn't come crashing down in unison, given that so many serve different purposes and should not be tied directly to the movements in BTC.

Moving On...

If you have been joining us for our Bitshares Hangout and EOSTalk Live events each week then you have been hearing many hints and behind-the-scenes secrets that will put you in a better position to prosper from all the new projects, platforms, and tools that are under development and coming your way over the next several months. Sometimes the juiciest tidbits, like Project Milkbox and MASDACs are dropped in the after parties.

Here is my note from last week again to make sure it sinks in:

_{At first you may find this to be an overwhelming proposition, keeping track of so many different accounts to post on multiple platforms, but it's no different than what everyone already does with current 'non-paying' centralized social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. The upside will be well worth the effort. You will have genre-specific communities popping up that will allow you to share your content with people you know will accept what you create with open arms and reward you fairly for your efforts and contributions. This will help lower the level of hostility and content censorship you have with a single platform scenario like we have now. Imagine posting your content on 3 or 4 crypto-backed blockchain sites and getting rewarded for it on all of them. Even if your content is controversial on one or more, and you take heat for it, you will be well-received on others.}

As I have been saying for a while now, 2018 will be a great year for all of us willing to keep our eyes and options open. Thank you to everyone who helped make it another great week, my 38th here on Steemit.

BeyondBitcoin / Whaleshares

I am continuing to help coordinate the weekly art and community building challenges for @OfficialFuzzy. These challenges are a great way to bring people together and spread the work about important topics in a fun way that people will remember. EOSTalk Live is Growing Fast

Our LIVE Tuesday night webcast has been gaining momentum over the past few weeks.
