Two friends who are more or less always on at the same time on Steem Discord are never on at the same time on steem, so your explanation for that is.. O wait, there is nothing strange about that, or the fact that they are whale status, or the fact the they being friends but one of them didn't invest in his old account and has not disclosed his previous account only that he was a long time user, the only thing he disclosed in his massive introduction post which amounted to his opinion on the experiment.

Until you've come up with better evidence to the contrary it is far more reasonable to believe them to be two different people. It's Occam's razor.
