Minnow Power UP League Week #2
Welcome to the second weeks Minnow Power Up League. We now have 46 minnows that have signed up to track their progress and road to dolphinhood. Together this week, the league member's have powered up a total of 2075.57SP this week. To learn more about this minnow initiative please do have a read of our introduction post.

Minnow Power UP League
Every Thursday we will be using SteemSQL database managed by @arcange to gather details on the Owned SP for each person that has entered the league. The current weekly owned SP will be compared to the SP held last week. The person with the highest SP growth for the current week will be on top of the leader board.
There are 4 levels depending on your SP levels. Once you graduate from one, you will be automatically placed on the next. When you graduate from the 4th you will be placed on the Minnow Wall of Fame.
As this post could get rather long with the 4 levels, as we grow, we may consider splitting this into different posts on different days.
Level 1
Congratulations to @mcoinz79 with a growth this week of 784.877 STEEM. Nice work. This also graduates you from level 1 to level 2. In second is @obulunmaz followed by @veryspider (last weeks winner) in third.
A big shout out also to @steemflow on reaching over 1500sp, next week you will be on level 2.

Level 2
With 6 participants on level 2, and two on the home stretch. Congratulations @niallon11, very nice growth this week. You are first in the weeks level 2 league and also on the home stretch of this level. You are getting close to 2500sp.

Level 3
@peter2017 you are first in the level 3 league and also a graduated from level 2 last week. Awesome work to you too @delishtreats and @roleerob. Keep up the great work.
Level 4
Congratulations to @carlgnash, you are first in this week’s level 4 minnow power up league and are new to this level after graduating from level 3 last week. Nicely done. @masterthematrix you are on the home stretch for dolphinhood with less than 250 left to get. @glenalbrethsen and @stevescoins you also have had nice growth this week.

Looks like some people took the opportunity to invest in STEEM and power up. Good for them. Congratulations to all this week's top power uppers. (Not sure how to say that more gracefully. :) Way to go @peter2017, @carlgnash and @niallon11, and additional kudos to @mcoinz79 and @steemflow for moving up to the next level. Well done.
Yep I notice a few pretty decent hikes. If you plan to power up and have less than 5000 SP, might as well join up and get a couple more STEEM for it :)
Thanks for that. I power up everything that comes through my account so hoping to make it up through all the levels over the next year. Not easy but i like the challenge.

I think it's a great goal regardless of how hard or easy it may be. Gives you something to work toward at the very least. And since it's your own goal, you can add or subtract from it as you deem fit and reasonable. :)
I've had one or two periods of time since joining where I didn't immediately power up, but then I couldn't come up with something to do with them or it didn't make sense to cash out the STEEM so I ended up powering them up, anyway. I think it's as good a plan as any to do, unless you're concerned about the long term (or even short term) viability of STEEM. Then there's some rethinking of strategy to do. :)
I think it's the best thing to do for the moment anyway. Maybe in a few years i will take a look at my activity and see if there is a new or better way but i believe in the long term future of the blockchain, ( even after this week) so i think that it will pay off in the long run. I like being able to have an influence on the site as well which comes from the SP and getting involved with a few of the communities so no change in the immediate future anyway. Like yourself i don't see anything better to do for now.

You know, this post really got here at a bad time. Yesterday I made the mistake of claiming rewards instead of powering up the 50 Steem I have sitting there first. I got rewarded with a 59% hit on my VP and could no longer power up :/
I'm not going to even try to vote today, or tomorrow for that matter, but I will say this is a nice initiative. Greetings!
yea its not the best situations, but it will get better. Nice to see the power ups last week. next week i am expecting them to be a little lower

It's joining projects like this that make it easier to move up the levels. You can meet some of the more active people on the site, especially people who have moved up through the levels before you and can give some advice. They also tend to be the ones who are posting important information and info on what you can do on the site. Some of the best users i have met have been through similar projects to this.

With the post rewards being so low this week, the prizes should look pretty good in comparison. Good luck luck at level 2 :)

..dolphin...its pretty hard unless and until you do not invest....but yes whatever is there we always ready to power 🆙

It gets quicker as you go down the stretch. You will probably get to 3000sp in less than 7 - 8 months now and 5000sp in over a year or so if you keep going at the rate that you are with time and interaction. The first 500sp took so long to get to but now it is fairly easy to take down 20 or 30 a week without putting in massive effort. It can be more about the enjoyment of being here and letting it all build up.
I think that you learn a lot as you go along and see where you can do a bit better this year going forward. I made lots of mistakes for my first few months but learned better ways to operate over time. It will help.
Now that sounds quite good and motivating @niallon11 even i took few month to understand the basic of steemit and community development. Hopefully , slowly i accumulate enough SP to move on to level3 ..still with the prevailing condition at steemit and low payout the target seems far away....i keep going the way i am moving myself till now and hopefully to see some brightful days ahead

I think with the crash next week will not look so good, but its onwards and upwards.
True. there is little to nothing happening on here for the past few days. Even after the crash it's a dead zone.
