RE: Community building: The family we meet along the way

in #community7 years ago (edited)

Wow.. @ehiboss you trully nailed it all.

When most of us joined steemit, truthfully, many didn't consider community building. A lot actually came came for the rewards initially and along the line, some realized that there was more to life than the rewards.

This as well happened to me when i started. I read all could and was well granted with the basics of steeming.
I nearly would not have attended our second meetup in uyo because i felt there was no need since i already knew the basics. But somehow i had the nurge in my heart to go and at least assist @samstickkz @ishotz @evelynioh in setting up and so i went.

@ejemai came from port harcourt to Uyo for the meet up and his presentation said something that has shifted my paradigm through out my steemit journey.
He stressed on the value of jioning a community and doing your best in taking part in the building process and sustaining.

If you take a trip to the genesisproject whatsapp group, you would be amazed at how over two hundred individuals converse peacefully and joyfully from dusk till dawn and you find yourself wanting to read over 1,000+ messages daily and not wanting to miss a single thing.
The truth is a community builder's joy is when others succeed. Community building is the future and a way forward, support us today.
This is always the case for us here in uyo (steemit-uyo/calabar steemit group).
Am so glad i jioned, helped im buiding and sustaining the community.

Thanks alot @ehiboss for putting this together.. Am trully stirred up
