When most of us joined steemit, truthfully, many didn't consider community building. A lot actually came came for the rewards initially and along the line, some realized that there was more to life than the rewards.
Somehow somewhere, we found out that building communities was the greatest thing a man can do for his country on steemit.

I am not the only one who realized that well structured communities needed to be built, several individuals saw it too. People like myself (@ehiboss) with the genesisproject and S.I.N. concept, @gbenga with the steemit-virus concept @fisteganos with the onequality concept, @destinysaid with the africaunchained concept, @ejemai with the stach concept, @michaelcj with the steemnaira concept, @maryfavour with the redfishpillar concept, @oluoleolaide with the steem-lagos concept, @ogoowinner also with the genesisproject concept among others.

These individuals with the understanding of what it means to actually build communities have dedicated time, energy and other resources towards the growth of steemit using the sub communities as the point of contact.
These great works could not have been achieved without mentorship from great individuals whom have pioneered the change needed to build communities.

Sadly, more is required if we are to get to the promise land and we will surely get there. Community building is a sacrifice which everyone must undergo to change the face of the platform because truth be heard, the minority steem power holders (accounts with 5,000 sp and below) are the majority on the platform and they are also the driving force of this great platform.

People from different walks of life have agreed on a common cause which is building a better blockchain, how ready the blockchain is to handle communities is another ball game entirely.
I know of someone whom I call a father figure who has passionately given his all towards community growth and a lot of us would not have gone far without his input.

It's not easy to be a community builder neither is it easy to go into community building because there will be moments where the people you are giving your all for won't even exercise enough patience to understand the plan you have in store for them, there are moments where you look back and realize there is no way back, you find strength where there is none and forge ahead.

You see the goal when everyone else sees the obstacle, you are awake thinking when others are asleep resting. People envy the attention that comes with it, but do you know the hard work involved?
We meet all sorts of people and we are not allowed to give up. As I consume yet another can of monster energy drink, I realize that the communities are growing which means the community builders are working.

Everyone has different methods and believe it when I say what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Recently community building has entered a higher gear and even the platform can now boast of over 600,000+ users, meaning 1 million is closer than we think.

Why do we believe in the blockchain? It is because the blockchain offers a sense of responsibility to all. You can be a dreamer and still achieve those dreams if you persevere long enough. Community builders are not miracle workers, they are people who despite all odds, push for a better tomorrow for all.

If you take a trip to the genesisproject whatsapp group, you would be amazed at how over two hundred individuals converse peacefully and joyfully from dusk till dawn and you find yourself wanting to read over 1,000+ messages daily and not wanting to miss a single thing.
The truth is a community builder's joy is when others succeed. Community building is the future and a way forward, support us today.
