You can say generous whales should do this or that, but that doesn't make it so. They are responding to the incentives available and have largely decided that the circle jerking and bot leasing is the way to go for them. And that's the perfectly rational choice on their part.

So given that economic landscape, the question is: how do red fish and minnows see enough value to continue to be engaged?
