Yet Another Day On Steemit // Advise for My Fellow Minnows.
Drinking your morning coffee/tea?
Come read some of the things I have learned after a long day of researching how Steemit works and ways to get better at it.
We all are trying to navigate our way through this huge ocean called Steemit, and while we may have little bits of knowledge about the platform, its always good to get good reminders once and a while. So, this is for the minnows (I included) that are working to grow so that they can contribute more to this wonderful community.
Strive to get better, whether or not you are getting any recognition for your hard work. Your time will come. Work on making you work as perfect as possible, so when you do get recognized you will be confident you content is your best.
POSITIVITY! You came here to connect with the community, remember that! The money is just a plus. If you truly want to succeed, learn to just be happy with the platform and communicate with people like you don't want anything more than a wholesome conversation.
Organize your posts, know when to use page breaks, headers, and other modifiers. Here is a post to further explain how to do all that if you do not know yet.
Always take time to communicate, commenting is one of the most important part of this wonderful platform. Ask questions, share your opinion, bring up topics (that pertain to the post) Don't be afraid to say something wrong, the most important thing is to say it. This community is so accepting and patient.
Write about what you are actually interested in, nobody enjoys a person who struggles to talk about something he couldn't care less about. (And yes, we can see when you are doing that.)
Know when to use photos and when not to, too many can be overwhelming, while having none can make your post seem less interesting, and also lowers your chance of people clicking on it while scrolling through their feed. Make sure it has to do with the post.
Remember to HAVE FUN! Don't be afraid to do something different. or take a new approach towards sharing what you are passionate about. Especially for us minnows, what do we truly have to lose? As long as we seek quality for our content, there is nowhere to go but up! So enjoy the ride and find your place on this wonderful platform.
That is it for now!
