#SteemGigs Experiment v2.0🌀 Now With 21 SBD Up for Grabs!
Well, since no one took up the last steemgigs offer, I guess I should modify it and try again! So here is #SteemGig for Charity v2.0!
I propose a #steemgig, to give 6 SBD each, to the first 3 steemians who do the following:
#SteemGig Mission: To give to a charitable organization, at least 2x, full or nearly full, green garbage type bags (or the equivalent,) of used (but clean and still usable,) clothing, toys, books, linens, shoes, or other necessities... (If you have lots of big, bulky stuff like blankets or jackets, let's make it 3 bags!)
- Take a photo or two, of some of the stuff that is going in the bags.
- Do something to make us realize you made the donation, like by attaching a sticker, or paper that says Steemit onto one of the bags. Or by taking a photo of you or someone else holding up the current date and a bag-full.
- Take a photo of yourself or someone putting them in the charity's dropbox, or walking into the drop-off centre with them. (Can combine with no. 2.) (No need to ever show your face.)
- Make a post on your own blog, with your photos and telling us about what you did, or if you want, about the charity, or who it will benefit. Please tag your post with #steemgig (s). Tag it however else you want too!
- Drop a link to your post in the comments of this article.
- Bonus 1 SBD each, and mitzvah/karma/brownie points if you get kids involved in the giving!
(Who knows what will happen for the 4th+ participant!)
So just grab some old stuff you don't need anymore, put it it a couple of these...
And make a post, and comment here after generously putting them in one of these, (or some other equivalent...)

Thanks for feeling this idea is worthy of your support! I know most people do they're own charity thing in a private way. But it could be fun to get kids involved and make a day out of choosing good stuff and going to drop it off somewhere! Thanks!
How about giving them directly to the families or individuals that are in need?
That would ideally be better, you're absolutely right. But since this is a public offer, and to be fair, we should have proof that it was done, I didn't want to cause any accidental embarrassment to any potential recipient of the help. Maybe for the next offer I can think of a way around that problem.
