COMMUNITY NEWS: COMMUNITIES ARE GO!

We here at Community News have not posted for a while as our senior editor @SirKnight has been busy planning Steem Lord adventures and listening to cool British pop groups from the turn of the century.
It goes to show though - in the world of Steemit - you cannot turn your back for a second.
Firstly - a few words from SirKnight... (who incidentally enough, is enjoying a 12 Year Old Aultmore of the Foggie Moss, Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky - with a smooth, nice lemony vanilla flavour)
"So Defender and I are walking through the park - it's Wednesday night, it's dark and very, very pleasant beside the water. As usual I am listening to my favorite conservative media commentators Joe @Jsnip4 and Dave @x22report. Then YouTube decides to switch me to a new vid - this time it is @sgtreport - an interview with Steemit founder Justin @officialfuzzy - how excited was I?" (official steemit post at bottom).
SirKnight continued - "Much of the interview was about EOS - which is cool. Towards the end however, Justin discusses how the values and wealth within the Steemit ecosystem could grow in a communal way, for the benefit of communities the world over."
So a philanthropic push for communal growth had begun in an interview with a Steemit Elder.
Unbeknownst to SirKnight however was that an entire Steemit Hubs and Meet Ups trend was taking the Steemit world by storm.
@donkeypong describes the trend by stating:
'Being part of a community is important to many people. When you feel like you belong and have support from others in person, you may be much more likely to embark on the Steem journey online as well.
And the post has gone viral - with all proceeds going to the Steemit Parade of Nigeria.

Closer to our #teamaustralia home however, was the establishment of a whole new community, Steemit Phillipines @steemph who have announced their mission and vision - their vision being:
"To grow the Filipino Steemit Blogging Community through positivity and empowerment."
Beautifully said - but what does this really mean?
Well we at Community News confirm two very important facts about this new Community...
- @bearone (aka Arly) TEAM AUSTRALIA's Executive Manager of Marketing and Steemit's #1 graphic designer, is a founding 'Core 9' member; and, as we all know, Arly is virtuous and committed to the people of the Philippines and quiet frankly - is simply AWESOME!

- that real world philanthropy has now been enacted, with the 'Steemit Philippines' community already forging a partnership with the Philippine Red Cross in order to raise funds to assist casualties of the Marawi City conflict. Thank you to @cloh76 for bringing this initiative to our attention.
It has also come to the attention of COMMUNITY NEWS that STEEMIT PHILIPPINES would like to work with TEAM AUSTRALIA (Steemit's fastest growing Community) to accelerate their ability to assist Filipinos in need.
SirKnight in his position as Secretary of TEAM AUSTRALIA has responded:
"TEAM AUSTRALIA and Australians in general will always be there to help a battler in need! As such we welcome a 'bi-lateral 'leg-up' agreement' with STEEMIT PHILIPPINES, encouraging Australians and Filipinos alike to unit for the betterment of all persons in these Asian Pacific Communities."
We at Community News have been most enriched by these recent 'Community' happenings within the Steemit ecosystem. We would also hope that many a Whale will learn from this. These are perilous times in the world outside of Steemit. Perhaps Steemit can make a difference. Unlikely though if petty quarrels persist.
It is time to unite, to give, to enrich.
We are Community News and we are hopeful about the future of mankind. A future that has not been overcome by greed, hatred and jealousy.

The Aussie community is indeed awesome and I feel proud and privileged to have been welcomed into it.

I've never been more proud to be a child of two worlds. It is exactly that - fighting for the battlers attitude that we Australians have that ignited the fire withing me to assist the Filipino people and join forces with @steemph.
I am equally proud to be Filipino AND Australian and it's a blessing to be both. And I will always, ALWAYS work for the benefit of the Australian and Filipino Community.
I'm pleased as bloody punch about having my two families having a leg up agreement!
Who says I cant have my cake and eat it too?
And for you @sirknight... This is truly a heartfelt thank you for putting up with all my shit, my emotional break downs, my mood swings and everything in between and still being the awesome, level headed, calm and compassionate mentor to me.
I wouldnt be where I am now in Steemit, being given the opportunity to help people and communities, if you didnt take me under your wing and showed me what Steemit can achieve when I look at #teamaustralia.
It is my hope to help build #steemph into the close knit community #teamaustralia is and Im looking forward for the time we can work together on projects :)

Good day @communitynews and thanks a lot for featuring our little family @steemph. With all the support and love we're getting our family will grow a lot for sure, that will enable us to help even more people and at the same time promote quality in Steemit as well as grow the Filipino Steemian community. Thanks to support we're getting from various witnesses like @cloh76.witness and @steemgigs; as well as tons of different people with a golden heart, minnow-dolphin-whale; Filipino or not. They're the reason @steemph can become successful.
