I've just seen this post - the original 48 hours has passed, but is there still an opportunity to take part?
Of course you can still sign up :) . I've been waiting for friends of mine to join steemit so I extended the window a few days until their application gets filled.

I wonder how long it's going to take for their requests to be approved?!
I'm wondering that too. Hopefully within a day or two.
