RE: My new thought on something to say to pro-communist people...

working for capitalist or dying is a choice or an ultimatum?

No that's a false dichotomy. You treat that like it is the only two choices.

The best periods in history have occurred while people were under some form of capitalist system... different depths of how close to FREE it was depending upon how much the government intervened.

Yet that is most definitely NOT the case with Communism and Socialism. For people that have lived in those countries for very long dying was a much more realistic thing.

I mean if you truly want this then Venezuela was being held up as the poster child for "See it works"... until it stopped working.

Or how about China (avoid the city states that are capitalist if you want something closer to Communism)?

I'd say the Soviet Union but all of the countries that were part of that are some of the most anti-Communist and Socialist countries in the world at the moment. Ironically they are doing better than they have been for a long time. One of my favorites in that group is Poland.

Though I don't have a problem working for a capitalist. So your false dichotomy is irrelevant to me.

I also don't have a problem hiring people if I ever have a project where I can hire more people and it would benefit from their help.

I am fine with voluntary.

I am not fine with involuntary.

Guess what? In life you have a choice too... go find a way to get food, or starve/die.

Whining about it and basing your entire movement around envy of what other people do, do not do, etc is petty and foolish.

Then forcing other people to comply with your wishes... that's just evil. Yet that is a requirement of Socialism, Communism, or Marxism.

It's just a much bigger plantation.

Sort:

There were only countries that tryed to make communism but none did it, then again if some country failed doesn't mean that the idea failed.

I'd say the Soviet Union but all of the countries that were part of that are some of the most anti-Communist and Socialist countries in the world at the moment. Ironically they are doing better than they have been for a long time. One of my favorites in that group is Poland.

that is a question, who is doing better? the capitalists probably yes but the people? Communists builded factories production services, what capitalist brought people? USSR was a superpower where is Russia now? there you go great capitalism results.

Then forcing other people to comply with your wishes... that's just evil. Yet that is a requirement of Socialism, Communism, or Marxism.
-then quit your country because it forces many things and is thus evil according to your definition of evil
