Turning Steem Into Comics
A few weeks ago, @blewitt offered the Steemit community the opportunity to trade a measly 10 steem for $50 (or more) worth of comic books. True, Steem was worth a bit more way back then but it was still only about the equivalent of $12 give or take. I don't buy comics that often anymore but I'm always looking for an excuse and this seemed like a good one.
At any rate, my package arrived early last week. Here's my haul!
I undestand there weren't a lot of takers but if he offers up this kind of deal in the future I highly reccommend you take advantage of it if you are remotely interested in comics!

Bam! What a great set for only 10 Steem, a good amount of first issues to allow you to pick up a story fresh, @blewitt killed it with this deal, really awesome, I honestly almost picked one up for myself.
Yeah I was totally surprised that I didn't move a few. I had 5 piles set aside certain they would go. LOL
nice! I stopped collecting a long time ago. I’m more into cgc signatures. I found the stories to get rather dry. Someone always gets killed off and resurrected a year later.
if it’s not CGC within a block and signed, I would rather not have any more boxes :)
I haven't really collected since 1998 or so though I still have the vast majority of the comics I ever bought. Once a year when I go to MegaCon I might pick up a dozen or so. However, I recently pre-ordered a bunch of new ones for the next couple months to see if there's anything that looks interesting. Pretty big orders too like a few hundred dollars total. My hope is I'll find a few I like and then cut drastically back to just those. My fear is that I've reignited an addiction and cutting back will be hard. :)
some of the best stories are from comics. My favorite is Age of Apocalypse from the Marvel Universe. Fantastic story line, fabulous ending (not the resurrected version)

Yeah we deal with some graded stuff as well. What cool graded pieces do you have?
