ABC News - Comic Book Reviews Are Now Part of ABC News?
In news that I didn't know was news, while checking on the new content released by ABC News Youtube channel, I was pleasantly surprised to find a video uploaded today that is over a half hour long, has a more stereotypical news segment style and look rather than a dressed up set that has forced nerdy items placed everywhere. It is something different, and honestly I did not make it through the full half hour but that was not due to quality, more so due to lack of interest specifically in Marvel's "Secret Empire'.
The quality is really good with the reviewers having close up of panels as they discuss topics and it never feels like I'm falling too far into fanboyism and more really just sticking with reviewing the book. As long as this show keeps up variety with the books it will cover, it definitely looks like a series to keep up with at the least:
It is unfortunate that ABC and Marvel are both Disney owned companies and there was a huge "Inside Marvel" at the beginning of that video, meaning that we will most likely not see comics by other companies reviewed.

Interesting! I'll have to check this out. It is a shame that it'll be Marvel limited but makes complete sense for a company to cross promote through it's resources. It's just nice that it seems they're taking it very seriously and giving the actual comics some love!

Hopefully the format will hit some nerd out there who will do a Daily Show type set but be serious about comic news rather than the usual nerd in their basement with toys around in sweatpants type feel you would normally get from these type of YouTube shows.
