New COMICS & TOYS this week at Comic Shops!!! 10/16/19

Welcome to New Book Wednesday!!! Yeah yeah...I know it’s now Thursday but yesterday was a really busy day. My apologies.

Ready to take a gander at all of the exciting nerdy nonsense making its way to comic shop racks this week??? I’m talking about kick ass Comics and Toys!!! I’m your host @blewitt, and I thank you for joining me on this virtual window shopping experience!!!

Let’s start with Indy books this week and really mix things up. I know...I’m living on the edge this week. Check out Marked #1 from Image. I don’t know what it’s about but Image #1 are a fairly safe bet and it’s about a tattooed broad. Can’t go wrong with that!

Duck Tales, My Little Pony, 2 Archie books, Rick & Morty Dungeons & Dragons, Vampirella with a pretty Artgerm cover...come to think of it I believe it’s just reused art from the Sideshow statue they made of her based off his art. Either way...purdy. Boom has new issues for Once & Future and Something is Killing the Children. The early issues sold very well so it’ll be interesting to see how the series continues sales wise. All in all, a fairly large Indy week.

Marvel has a handful of biggies...most notable is the new X-Men #1 from Hickman. Be nice to see where it heads after House & Powers completed.

In the symbiote department, the house of ideas bombardes ya with 4...yes...4...parts to Absolute Carnage. Thank you Marvel.

There are also some really nice variants spread throughout the titles to commemorate Peter Parker’s ginger love, Mary Jane. Adam Hughes does the one for Captain America and it’s a nice one.

Lastly, Marvel Tales featuring Ghost Rider, Guardians of the Galaxy with a pretty cool cover, and Captain Marvel are also out.

DC throws new issues of Batman, Teen Titans, Aquaman, and Justice League. There’s also a Dollar Comics Reprint of a classic Bat Issue from the 90’s.

As far as the miscellaneous nonsense goes, it’s fairly dominated by Funko. I could have really used those The Office Pops at NYCC last week when four thousand people asked me if I had them.

Anyway, lots of Pops as you can see. Some Dragonball figs, a really cool Spider-Punk Hot Toys figure that we actually ended up selling already yesterday. Some Robocop ReAction figures to get @crimsonclad all worked up over...yeah...she digs him. Oh...and for our girl and creepy ass men, we have 2 Sanrio Hello Kitty banks! Peep it all right here!!!
