Cosplay Encounters For My Friend Karin
Recently I had put up a post detailing all about the character Harley Quinn. I was explaining about her and the fact that she’s a fan favorite and is one of the most cosplayed characters at any comic convention. This blew the mind of my dear friend, the lovely @karinxxl. She was completely unaware of the fact that cosplaying was even a thing and was interested in learning more. So this post is dedicated to her and anyone else in the dark about this nutty industry.
Let me first start off by stating that I DO NOT cosplay myself. Trust me. Nobody wants to see my dumpy excuse of a body in tight ass spandex. Also even if I did want to embarrass myself, scare kids, and make women dry heave...I work the shows so a costume just would not be practical. That does not mean I do not appreciate the trouble some of these folks go through to perfect their costumes. Some spend all year crafting it and it shows. Some go to Party City...
The bigger shows like San Diego Comic Con even hold a Masquerade and give out tons of prizes like passes to next years Con, Collectibles, and cash prizes. Not too shabby if ya ask me. I also just think people love celebrating their nerd heritage. Dressing up as their favorite hero or character is just a fun thing to do. You are in a building with 100k plus fans who appreciate the effort put forth by those who participate. For that day, they are a celebrity and everyone wants their picture with them. There are also the rare and extreme instances where folks get paid by a company to represent they product or business. In the industry you see it a lot with scantily clad females and they are known as “Booth Babes”.
Anyway, enough babble. I’m going to run through my phone as I have a couple years worth of convention photos that feature tons of killer cosplay. I’m going to now search for sone to show my friend @karinxxl and the rest of you. The last part will have a lot of the ones I showed as I attended and worked those conventions but the first 2 parts should be new pics that I do t think I’ve shown here. Hope you enjoy!

Yeah I sat up last night going through my phones and separating like 200 cosplay pics so I’m posing a few of these. Lol.
They are not. I don’t think any of them are. You’ll notice some will be couples, friends, families. All walks of life. It’s kinda nutty...right?!?
Also, remember @karinxxl, your sick fantasies are now part of the chain forever....or until this all implodes. 😜

hahah sounds like my kind of people XD 80% of my friends are into cosplay XD
hahha all my tribe in Barcelons is into cosplay, when they're not into forging their own swords (literally)... oh my lots of super curvaceous bodies that's why I'd never cosplay a superhero hahha XD
but I've always wanted to cosplay Kira the gelfling in a kind of more human way with deer ears and such

You definitely see a ton of comfortable women displaying at the shows. Lol
My dog was named Kira due to that movie. One day i will cosplay her. Yes I have some friends into serious level cosplaying and reenactment. They have worked makng costumes for GoT but they are supersassy.
