Black Friday Chaos - Comedy Open Mic Round 39
Yeah, maybe not.
Black Friday didn't really kick off over here, unfortunately. It would've been a right frisk beating the shit out of someone for a reasonably priced telly I don't need.
I think it's cause we're all smarter than Americans this side of the pond. Retailers here pump the prices up by 100% and then pop a naughty 50% OFF sticker on. Americans see this "discount" and as a result, their simple, hunter/gatherer minds think:
"Yeehaww, my wife gon love me again for bagging this deal!"
But my message to you Tray/Chuck/Bob/Crystal/Stacey-Jane:
Pay off your fucking credit cards before you spend hundreds on "discounted" plastic.
Whereas Brits, see the price tag, round it up to the nearest hundred, and work out how many pasties they can buy with that money. We're sensible, rational, immune to manipulation by our capitalist overlords.
A pastie.
Not only are our citizens more sensible, so are our money grabbers.
That's right.
In Britain, our idea of a sale is increasing prices, decreasing them again, then saying it a sale.
Obviously, our citizens are too advanced to be fooled by these kinds of shenanigans.
In the states though, their idea of a sale is where products are actually massively discounted, sometimes to the point where the shop is making a loss on certain products.
How silly.
Maybe there's a reason why you turn into savage animals...
