Gigant Oscar Niemeyer Mural by Eduardo Kobra

Oscar Niemeyer (1907-2012) was one of the most famous and important architects from Brazil. His designs were groundbreaking for modern architecture. There are many inspiring buildings throughout Brazil and other countries. Niemeyer's architecture is inspired by curves - female curves.

The work is part of the project "Wall of Memories" , which modifies the urban landscape through paintings to remember important figures from the city. The reason for the homage to the architect was the 459th birthday of São Paulo. Even though Oscar Niemeyer is not from São Paulo, he shaped the face of the city considerably.

The 52m high and 16m wide painting is located directly in the heart of São Paulo on the most important and bustling street. Over 18 floors you can see the face of Oscar Niemeyer, who left his mark in São Paulo and designed many famous buildings. Eduardo Kobras has hidden some of the Arichtect's most important works in his paintings as a tribute.
