Riding Horses to invite peoples to a Wedding - #ColourfulPhotography

Hello, dear friends!

In some villages in my county, the young people who are going to marry still keep an ancestral tradition, regarding how guests are invited to the wedding that will take place.
It's about "Callers" (the Romanian word is - Chematori).
Callers are young unmarried boys chosen by bride and groom from their relatives and friends. They go through the village and give wedding cards to those who are invited. They also serve those peoples with brandy and wine.
But what's special is that, they dress in traditional costumes and ride on horses . Horses are adorned with flowers and ribbons usually made of crepe paper.
One day I was visiting my parents and just arrived at the gate, these "Callers" with a wedding card for them.
My brother welcomed them, and of course the kids had great joy when they were up on the back of the horse and I took photos with them.

You are fortunate to still have those traditions in place. They weren't kept everywhere :). Thinking now, we don't even have that many horses left around :D.

Yes, peoples in my village try to keep the tradition like this. And believe it or not, my brother has a horse 🐎. The brown one is his horse “Stela”. I remembered, he was in love for horses since he was a child.
