Color Challenge Friday Blue - "BLACK VULTURE" ~ © Tiffany E. Reed
A relatively common sight in the southeastern US is the Black Vulture (Coragyps atratus). According to Wikipedia, there is a Eurasian bird with the same name, but is unrelated. They look so majestic in flight against a sea of blue sky!
Although not a pretty bird up close, I find these birds fascinating to watch from a distance as they soar through the sky. Their ability to catch wind currents effortlessly and drift for long periods of time without flapping their wings is absolutely amazing!
This is another entry in the ColorChallenge which @kalemandra began. It's been such fun participating in it each day since I've been here!
