Orange corridor

Today's color challenge is Tuesday Orange. In Japan there are many temples and shrines all over the country. Often there is a Torii gate at the entrance of these place which marks the entry to a sacred place.

One of the most famous torii is a tunnel of torri gates at Kyoto called Fushimi Inari Taisha. This is a 4km trail leading up to the mountain and is said to have over ten thousand torri gates. The walk is extremely busy and it was impossible to take a photo with no one in it. I had to walk really slowly and build up a crowd behind me to take this photo. Luckily I didn't get any complaints!
