Thought I was going to talk about those beautiful green lights in front of the kiosk?

Think again!

As much as there is to say about the Montréal en lumière festival, this post is not about it.

Let's try again with another picture: see something similar?

If your guess was the big building in the back with the green hexagonal logo, you've got the correct answer.

It is not the first time that this Downtown Montreal skyscraper is mentionned in one of my publications. In Steemit Photo Challenge #45 (Celebrations!) ~ Entry - No. 1, 2 & 3, we can see the interior as my First Entry and one side of its exterior in that week's Second Entry.

This is a photo resembling the one I shared fifteen days ago, with the difference being that the blue water fountain wasn't bursting up at the time of capture.

And this is what it looks like from outside on another pitch black night.

The idea here is not to bore you to death by going on about how the Desjardins Group is the biggest credit unions' association in North America, nor that it is rank as the sixth most important financial institution in Canada and the number one in Quebec.

No, my goal is to show you how those concrete giant's green lights are truly powerful.

See the green dot among the clouds in the middle?

Better now? Maybe not, but I can assure you that we weren't having hallucinations, on that day I snapped a couple of low quality pics from my friend's balcony. We weren't imagining seeing things, but we were sure as hell questioning what it could be. You know, the kind of positive wonder when you marvel at a yet to be resolved mystery?

The magic lasted only for a brief time. Damn it Google, all we had to do was a web search for ''green lights in the sky of Montreal'' to learn of its simple down-to-earth explanation.

And... you're now two out of two in the green quiz if you said that the Desjardins (jardins is French for gardens which we know to be of dominantly green color) building is the culprit.

The interesting fact, remaining after that gone with the cloud enigma, is that we could see this colored reflection from a walking distance of approximately eleven kilometers (seven miles) away.

For good measure, I took a screenshot of the more than two hours walk proposed by Google Maps, when going from my buddy's general area to the Complexe Desjardins.

On nights when meteorological conditions are alike to the one when we had this experience, I would bet some people from a further distance must have notice this ''green in the sky'' phenomenon too.
