Colorchallenge Sunday Purple: Late Blooming Mint (and Variations)
Here is today's contribution to the popular #colorchallenge photo challenge, originally started by @kalemandra and now thriving in many corners the Steem community. This may actually be the oldest actively running photo challenge by now!
Today's theme is "Sunday Purple;" purple is also the color corresponding to the Crown Chakra.
Although winter is thoroughly upon us, I spotted this purple blossom in our little patch of mint that grows by the driveway. Mint is a remarkably hard plant — invasive, even — that seems to thrive under a variety of harsh conditions.
Tried a couple of "art edits," too, just for fun. This first one is a bit impressionistic:
Interesting how the winter light suddenly became much more "summery."
