Color Challenge: Purple Sunday -- Macro Buddleja
What I love with macro work is seeing things that often go overlooked or seeing them differently. I just the love the contrasting yellow centers on this Buddleja closeup. I intentionally went critter free here to just see the flower. Also look at the tiny light specks of pollen all over--a sign the pollinators have been hard at work in our garden. If I'd left the whole flower head, these details might go unseen.
This shot is the same setup as I usually use. It all ties in to the focal length and how hard I crop. I'm still above the 800x450 that I've heard is ideal for thumbnails here.
Here's the original for comparison--same photo, just unedited
With the lighting on this one you can barely even tell my camera needs cleaning.

Good idea to zoom on her, it makes a perfect one for the challenge :) Sur a nice flower, I upvoted. If you want to have a like to my Purple Sunday Post too it would be a pleasure for me. Thanks in advance and have a nice sunday !
I love that flower. Both the close up detail, and the larger view. Those colours, wow.
I think I should start posting these as challenges in the workshop occasionally. Imagine this is relevant to a story. How would you describe it? ;-)
They say a picture tells a thousand words. You could use a few of those doing the description to this some justice.
