Hagerman Pass on humpday afternoon

in #colorado8 years ago

Yesterday after work I parked my usually trusty Subie at the intersection of 105 and 105A and ran up to Hagerman Pass.

Hagerman Pass sits at about 12,000 feet above sea level on the continental divide between Lake and Pitkin counties. By some interesting coincidence, the pass shares its name with a rich influential dead guy who owned mines and railroads and tunnels in these parts.

I took a picture at the top, but it didn't turn out too impressive. So here instead is a picture from my run back down. The view is to the east-ish, looking across Turquoise Lake and all the way to the Mosquito Range.

Such a beautiful view (: Let us know if you can make it to the Steemit Meetup in Colorado Springs next Saturday! Also, there is now a Rocky Mountain Discord Chat so let me know if that sounds interesting to you!
