Here is the original inspiration piece "Take Action" that we were inspired by.
I really loved the movement of the piece and was inspired to entrap one of my figures in its colour and movement.
I normally share my process of sketch and layers, but I am behind this week due to a bad storm we had. I am just getting this in under the wire. I sketched then inked the figure. I took the original piece and intensified the colours in photoshop and used that as a visual cue to make the background/environment for the figure in broad quick semi controlled strokes of digital oil pastel. The figure is painted in digital oils with touches of pastel.

Thanks. I wanted the movement of her locks to mimic the movement of the original piece and the action of my own strokes for the background.
