How to avoid CRAZY $30 (Coinbase) network fees for sending Bitcoin

in #coinbase7 years ago

If you are a Coinbase user, or really any wallet user, you will notice Bitcoin's insane network fees. Take a look at this: http://bit.ly/btctransactionfee. $30-$40 in fees. Well if you use Coinbase wallet I have a really good workaround to share which will allow you to send bitcoin with absolutely no fees.

Wow! I just saved $30 on that transaction, and it took 5 minutes to go through!

How to do it:

  1. Sign in on http://gdax.com bitcoin exchange with your coinbase account (you may need to provide ID)

  2. Press Deposit on the Bitcoin exchange and go to the Coinbase account tab and transfer funds over - it is freegdaxdeposit.png

  3. Press withdraw and go to the BTC address tab. Enter the address you would like to send to, get the 2FA code and now send however many BTC you want with no fees!

And now you can see on your Coinbase accounts that you sent bitcoin ... with no fee!
