This serie about best places for third generation coffee. Everybody has a hobby. Someone likes wine testing, otherone likes food testing. My hobby is that testing best coffees in the citys. I'm living in Istanbul. But i'm travel frequently. I'm trying to introduce coffee places everywhere I go. I want to sharing my experiences with coffee lovers like myself. Have you remembered the Legend Walter ? I remembered thanks to this coffee. Today we are talking about best coffee shop in Kadıköy i've ever been to. You know Breaking Bad. Walter White and Jesse Pinkman tyring to find a place for making meth. This place is not good for meth maybe. But this is perfect for making coffee. Kadıköy is the best neighborhood in Istanbul. It's better than Beyoglu/Taksim which almost everybody knows. I will introduce a lot of coffee shop in Kadıköy. I want to started with this. Because like many people, Breaking Bad special for me. Let me introduce you The Walter's Coffe Roastery.
This place opened five years ago. Breaking Bad was finished and almost his popularity. Coffee shop opened after this. So the owner is brave. Maybe his investment will be lost. But he doesn't care. He takes his courage and passion, made invesment, become popular. When the coffee shop opened, every newspaper talked it. I remember that times. When i was first read it, i run to Kadıköy for the place. That was magical. As i say, Breaking Bad has very special for me. I want to thank you to place's owner
So this my coffee. I ordered a mocha with less sugar. That was very taste. But there is one thing that make me sad. In the first times at the coffee shop, they serve their coffees with lab tubes. It was very good. But this time they served with normal glass. I didn't asked them that maybe it's just for normal coffees like mocha, latte etc. I think filter coffees still served with lab tubes. Anyway, taste was good as always. Workers always good in the place. They are always smiling and chatting with you. But place almost lost his soul. They have self service. This method used from second generation coffees. But his place third generation. They must fix it. It's very important that sitting on the table, look at the menu and order after than you checked all coffees in menu. With the self service, you must order your coffee very quickly. This is not fits in third generation coffee shops.
The coffee shop has a place that you can take a good picture. I mean the whole place is very photogenic. Many people come to place just for take pictures. But the place i mentioned is that a special place for concept. You will see two man with special clothes in the first picture i share in the post. This is not just for advertisement. You can wear those clothes and take your picture. There was a big coffee machine which is look like Walter's meth machines. This is very sweet. Ambience is very succesfull for this concept. But as i say, they must be more carefull with third generation thing. If real coffee lovers don't go there, there will be full of people that just want to take pictures for their social media. And in the next years, they will lost their popularity. To be honest, Kadikoy has so much better coffee makers. Their concept keep in work because of it. If they want to contunue their work, they must be better coffee makers. And they selling coffee with grams. But this is very expensive. In the end, this place is perfect for Breaking Bad lovers. But for the people that didn't know the show, i don'r know. I hope they will be better soon
