Coimbra (Portugal): Euro trip -Day 7 歐遊歷險(科英布拉-葡萄牙)-第七天

Actually if people want to go Porto from Lisbon, they would take flight or train to go there. But I would like to go Porto by bus since there is a historic town on the way of the ride, that is Coimbra.

正常人們會選擇坐飛機由里斯本到波圖，但我選擇坐巴士到波圖，因為我可以途中經過一個古色古香的市鎮-科英布拉。

The history of Coimbra could trace back to Roman Era, which was the capital of Portugal (from 1131 to 1255). Then Coimbra began to evolve into a major cultural centre in middle age. One of the achievement is the establishment the University of Coimbra in 1290, the oldest academic institution in the Portuguese-speaking world. As a result, its historical buildings were classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 2013.

古時科英布拉是葡葡牙的首都，時間由公元1139年至1255年。至中世紀末期，科英布拉就轉為文化中心。其中最出色的事跡就莫過於在1290年成立了科英布拉大學，是葡萄牙世界中最悠久的大學。在2013年它的建築物被列為聯合國教科文組織世界遺產。

The whole city is built up in the hill. So you need to climb up the hill for visiting...

整個市鎮都依山而建，所以我要爬著山去遊覽...

Then I visited the the University of Coimbra. It was established in 1290 in Lisbon,then it passed through lots of relocations until it was moved permanently to Coimbra in 1537, being one of the oldest universities in continuous operation in the world, the oldest university of Portugal, and one of the country's largest higher education and research institutions.

然後我遊覽了科英布拉大學。科英布拉大學創建於1290年，途中經歷多次遷校，最終於1953 年搬到這個城市。它是葡萄牙歷史最悠久的大學，亦是世界上最古老的大學之一。

And you can climb up the tower to enjoy the elevated view of the city:)
