Chicken Rice....again

Here's today lunch.....chicken rice again, although I ate chicken rice yesterday, but this is Hong Kong style Chicken Rice.

When we enter this restaurant, wow...... full house. Luckily we managed to grab an unoccupied table at this hour, normally 1230PM is a peak hour, kinda lucky no need queue for table.

This is the set lunch menu where RM14.75 with 1 meal + 1 drink + soup.
Is kinda worth order this, but beware....... because no picture on the food, so you might bring out some surprise when the food reach your table.

If you not comfort with set menu, you can always get ala-cart menu.

Got rice, got pork, noodle and so on

Got Japan stye, Hong Kong style....

I spend 5 minutes to take order as too many choices, in the end I follow my colleague order this, "Yao Ma Teh" Chichken Rice (油麻地鸡饭) (to precise, it should "Yao Me Tei"

油麻地 "Yao Ma Teh" is a place in Hong Kong, I'm not sure why they named this rice though.

You guys noticed the menu? Their menu is kinda funny.
Big Brother Chicken Drumstick Rice 一哥鸡腿饭
"Steven Chow" BBQ Pork Rice 周星驰叉烧饭

Not sure what is big brother chicken rice, but I knew the steven chow BBQ pork rice, let's see the video below

Ya, obviously inspired from this movie, just an egg and roasted BBQ pork....... >.<

and so after the wait, and the meal serve........ What the......... The food is kinda different from the menu.

Ok, fine, lets have a try and is .....taste ....good...... (just like the video...haha)

This is .... chicken floss?

oh man, this is my the other colleage meal, look so good

Crap, this is mine. But seriously, after I ate 50%, I "beh tahan" (Malay + Hokkien word, mean can't stand) as is just too dry, but lukily got soup. Another surprise meal for me again.

And so we pay the bill and cost me RM14.75 (with GST). Geesh.... the car blocked it, anyway this restaurant is call "U-Village" 又一村茶餐室 located in KL shopping mall area. I believe is a restaurant from Hong Kong and open business branch Malaysia, this is the only branch in Malaysia though.

U-Village
Sungei Wang Plaza
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Yao Ma Teh = 油麻地 = A place in Hong Kong
Zao Xing Chi = 周星驰 = Steven Chow
Beh Tahan = 背大汉?? = Can't Stand, use it when you can't stand a thing, like weather. "I beh tahan, is really hot in here"
Beh is Hokkien, Tahan is Malay word. Quite frequent we use this word in Malaysia
