Happy Mid Autumn Festival China 中秋节快乐 🍥

It's the time of year to celebrate a good harvest and appreciate everything the moon represents.

Also called Moon festival. Like the name suggests it happens exactly in the middle of autumn, The Chinese have been tracking the moon since it was brought here by aliens thousands of years ago. The moon has effected all life on earth in positive ways. Is it any wonder it has been worshiped by countless cultures and people from around the world? The energy that eminates from it's light when it's full is undeniable.

Moon festival is mostly some time off work to be with family. I have not seen an special activities like I would see at Spring Festival or even Dragon Boat festival in south China. It's a national holiday for 3 days no work or school.

Luckily I have not heard of any Werewolf sightings in Dalian so this full moon should be the usual all night moon cake eating and watching the Full moon hover over this beautiful city.

What is a moon cake?

Awesome post! :) I really love the moon!

Usually, when people give me mooncakes during MAF, I throw them out when the chinese person isn't looking. You can never guess what's in them, and sometimes there really is truly funky stuff in them.

hehe. the Wu Ren fresh outta the oven aren't to bad. It's like mixed nuts and honey, sometimes with chocolate.
