A few days ago, cryptocurrency price crashed and I planed to wait for a few more days to buy at a lower price. But the price rebounded and too expensive for me to buy now. So I have to continue to write articles to earn Steems. Your upvotes are welcome.

Spent a few weeks wandering in Spain and was amazed by the cultural heritage of Spain. Needs to spend more time to write about Spain. So I won’t write about Spain today, just write the pain of Spain: Gibraltar. Before I visited Spain, I did not spend too much time to research. Just selected a few places to book hotels, then figure out the detailed itinerary later. Before the trip, I knew very little about Spain, but I knew Gibraltar. I had a whole day to spend from Seville to Granada. So I had a detour to visit Gibraltar. Did not know what Gibraltar has. Just remember I read an article about Neanderthal mentioned a cave at there. Searched the web the night before and realized that Gibraltar belongs to UK instead of Spain. A few hundred years ago, UK captured Gibraltar. The Spain was not able to take it back, so it bullied Morocco and occupied some places such as Ceuta.

Gibraltar is a narrow peninsula with a narrow mountain in the middle of it. The mountain, which is called the Rock of Gibraltar can be seen far away. Because the roads of Gibraltar are narrow and steep, we parked our car in Spain and walked to Gibraltar. Crossing the boarder is easy. Nobody pay attention to check the passports. The land of Gibraltar is so scarce, that we have to cross the runway of an airport to enter the territory. Fighters at the end of the runway.

People of Gibraltar are patriotic. They speak English and use British Pound. At there, I realized it’s probably the only place that use English as official language in the continent of Europe. We took a bus to the downtown, at where, we can transfer to other buses. I was told we can climb the Rock and can find monkeys at the top. Because of the weather, we did not climb the rock and took the bus to the southernmost of the peninsula: Europa Point. At there we can see Africa across the strait. Africa, Europe, Mediterranean, and Atlantic Ocean are meet here. Many ships passing the strait.

曾经在西班牙旅行过几个星期，深深地被这个国家的文化遗产所折服。西班牙需要花点时间好好写，所以今天先不写西班牙，写一写西班牙的痛：直布罗陀。去西班牙之前，我也没做太多的功课，基本是地图上选几个地方，定好旅馆，这样大致路线就定下来了。有关西班牙我知道比利牛斯山，知道直布罗陀海峡，其他知之甚少。从塞维利亚到格拉纳达有一整天的时间。因为久闻直布罗陀的大名，决定绕道几个小时去踏访。虽然去之前也不知道那里有什么，只记得以前在国家地理上读到过人类近亲尼安德特人的遗迹在那里的山洞被发现。去直布罗陀之前一个晚上在网上查了一下才知道那里并不属于西班牙，而是属于英国。几百年前，英国人从西班牙人手里抢下了直布罗陀，成了西班牙人永远的痛。于是西班牙人就去欺负摩洛哥人，在海峡对岸占了几片飞地，比如休达。

直布罗陀是一个狭长的半岛。狭窄半岛的中央还挤着一座几百米的石山，几乎跟半岛一样狭长。石山在很远的地方就能看到，成了一个路标。因为直布罗陀道路曲折狭窄，又担心边境进出会堵车，我们把车停在靠近边境的地方，走路进入。西班牙出境，英国入境都很简单，没有人仔细检查。进入直布罗陀境内就要穿过一个机场的跑道，跑道上还有战斗机。为节省占地，机场和道路十字交叉。

直布罗陀人都很爱英国，说英语，花英镑。踏上这片土地，我才意识到这里也许是欧洲大陆唯一说英语的地方。过了机场，乘上公共汽车可以到达市中心。然后在那里可以转车去其他地方。半岛的石山可以登顶，据说山上还有猴子。因为天气不好，我们舍弃，直接乘车到了半岛的最南端：Europa Point 欧罗巴角。这里有座灯塔，可以遥望非洲，俯瞰海峡。欧洲，非洲，地中海，和大西洋在这里汇聚。海里很多来往的船只。海浪拍击悬崖，发处低沉的怒吼。
