I'm totally agree with you on the topic. But some points are still needs to be explained. I mean everyone is different from others. Way of thinking or doing a project in different ways is a Natural thing.
But you are right here, to the point and concise talk in a business is key of success. And your client was no doubt a very confusing guy. The best policy in this situation is silence. Silence is solution of 80 % problems in our society.
