Idk how I feel about this. It’s promoting a business.

  • Promotion should be paid for, not giving your money.
  • Promotion should be recognisable, not be part of the reward so you could mistake it for a vote for quality.
  • Steemit does not have a proper promotion system and that has been a problem for years, but bidbots are not the solution and should be discouraged all together.

In my humble opinion.

So what's the other route then? We're open for suggestions. We weren't aware of other kind of promotion techniques on steemit. Here to learn :)

To be honest I can't give you a perfect way of handling it right now. The Steem system is in a torrent of change (and has been since the start). The problem is that when a thing is completely free private initiative will flourish and sometimes you have services that dig up the powerlines and start to sell electricity...

The last month it has become obvious that some kind of official promotion feature is needed that will channel the promotion money back into making general value of Steem - for example by burning it. If you feel you need to promote things by bidbot you can decline payout or under advanced settings for the reward you can set your own account to recieve 0% and null (the profile that burns the steem) to 100%. Not ideal as a large part of it goes to the undeserving bidbots, but the best you can do right now...

Sorry that our conversing should be under these circumstances. Best of luck with your life and business.

Hello. Currently there are a lot of curation groups and whales curating amazing content, there's no need to buy votes. The downvote you received is to discourage the buying of votes from bidbots. We kindly invite you to join us on the #NewSteem attitude, where good content receives votes and the organic content get the most attention. Buying votes hurts you, other authors and the Steem Ecosystem in general, please don't do it.

Buying votes hurt steem, but stacking bid bot votes hurts it even more, that why we downvoted with such a high percentage.

Same question to you: Tell us how we can promote our content in the best way for steem. We're here to learn!

Two options seem to find acceptance since the EIP has come into play:

A. Promote but set the @null account as the post's sole beneficiary.
B. Promote but decline payout.

(Personally I would recommend option A. )

I hope this helps!

That's an awesome offer of 10% discount. Thanks a lot for this. May you Progress more and more.

There's also free worldwide shipping when you pay with crypto!
