RE: 4 Recommended Actions to Fight Climate Change
plant-based diet saves an average of 0.8 metric tons of CO2 annually
CO2 is plant food.
All the people saying that everyone else should have less children should just go to a nearby forest, lie down and then let nature take its course. That way, you feed the planet and reduce the human race by one, allowing someone else to have a child. Seth Waynes and Kimberly A. Nicholas should be the first two volunteers.
You are definitely right. The best way to reduce CO2 is by planting. It's natural and cheaper. I can't believe that people right now are actually asking if should we be having kids in the age of climate change?
Current CO2 levels have been great for plants, which is why the deserts are greening. Increased populations are due to being able to grow more food, that corresponds with a warmer climate, like during The Roman Warm period. The climate changes all the time.
Everyone at NPR should start by looking towards where the populations are the most dense and stop worrying about how little America pollutes in comparison. They should also stop trying to tell other people how to live.
