Rising From The Dust
Describing Burning Man in words is damn near impossible.
One simply cannot convey the surreality of being there – there is no word to accurately portray the scale of it – nor the strangeness of being caught in a white-out, becoming momentarily incapable of navigating, then seeing The Temple or The Man or other, large scale art installations rising from the dust.
Though words may fail me, thankfully, I can let my photos speak for me.
As harsh as the environment is, there is also a palpable softness to it – a quality unlike anything else I've experienced in all my worldly travels.
My imagery celebrates that lesser known side of Burning Man.

These are amazing. I've wanted to visit this festival for years. I need to go. Thanks for sharing this.
Glad you like them. :) Perhaps I'll meet you out there someday. You'll see me emerging from the dust in my tiny little art car.
Unearthly beauty. It reminds me of what an advanced civilization on another planet might look like.
Pretty much! It often feels like another planet, and definitely more advanced. ;)
beautiful images! That last one! Sublime!
Thank you @kieranstone! :)
Burning Man blows my mind every. single. time. I really want to go one year! Amazing photos by the way!
Thank you! You should come – just make it happen.
I will. I'm thinking next summer and I think it falls over my birthday which would be perfect! :-)
Those photos looks like some nice fantasy movie. 😁
They're some fantasy life. ;)
It looks like something from another planet :)

Nah...rather, a very dusty sort of heaven.
@zipporah this post was presented at the morning session of Pimp Your Post Thursday on the Steemit Ramble Discord. It was one of five choosen for the video report on the session. Just stopping back to let you know that you can see your name in lights right here. (Just kidding about the lights :)
All that sand. Not good for your sensors!

Always looks a cool place, seen so many amazing looking photos of Burning Man yet never really wanted to go.
