Despicable Me 3: even more mindless fun

The Despicable Me franchise has proved to be an excellent one, aimed at bringing fun and laughter without overtly trying to carry a message. Despicable Me 3 continues that tradition.

A has-been vilain, who had a popular show in the 80s, is making a comeback. And since Gru constantly fails to catch him, he gets fired from the AVL. He then finds out that he has a twin brother... Meanwhile, since the Minions only live to serve evil, quit on Gru, only to end up in prison (a hint to the poster).

If you love the Despicable Me franchise, or just want your young nephews and nieces to quiet down, this movie is excellent for that. The storyline isn't Oscar-worthy, but who cares? You get to hear Steve Carrell twice as much and lots of 80s music, but also lots of reference to that era. As for the adopted girls, their role is more secondary but they still bring giggles, especially on their hunt for unicorns

In short, this movie is definitely worth your while. It's a good family movie made for entertainment and laughters, something that's cruelly missing these days.
