Holiday Crinkle Cookies Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
1 box vanilla (white) cake mix
1 egg - lightly beaten
1 - 8oz tub (3 cups) Cool Whip
1 teaspoon vanilla
Red and green gel/ liquid food coloring
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
Yields approx 3 1/2 dozen cookies
Preheat oven 350 degrees F
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the cake mix, egg, cool whip and vanilla.
The dough will be thick and sticky.
Divide the dough in half and place one half in a second bowl. Add a couple drops of red food coloring to one dough and a couple drops of green food coloring to the other dough. Add enough food coloring to your desired color. Mix well.
Use a teaspoon (or cookie scoop) to portion the dough into 1 to 1 1/4 balls.
Roll balls in the confectioners sugar until well coated. Place on parchment lined or silt mat cookie sheet. Leave at least 2 inches between cookie balls.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cookies are set. The centers will be soft and that is OK.
Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for at least 5 minutes.
Carefully transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy.

They are good @woodywood143 My husband says they taste just like Amway cookies. He was impressed. They are soft with a slight chew. Thanks so much for visiting.
Those look like great holiday cookies! Thanks for bringing them to my Blacklux Holiday Party, too! That's a neat use of cake mix - and they look like holiday ornaments! :D
