Spiritual Warfare
Has anyone else ever noted....
In the Bible angels appear to people in the form of humans. Yet Demons have to possess someone and work through a body.
There are a fair few references to both of these cases, but lets think about this critically for a moment.
Ephesians chapter six tells us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness, principalities, powers.
As a believer, is it so far a stretch to think that this may be why it seems some people just kind of "have it out" for you?
I'll be doing a follow up on my reasoning later with Biblical citations, but lets just call this something to think on for the moment.

i absolutely agree. heck, id even go as far as to say that ive had spirits working through me without my knowing it before i really started to draw close to Jesus. Particularly of anger, addiction, and to some degree lust.
Ephesians 6: 11-13 tells us...
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
And in my opinion, if you take your Bible seriously, this is both a warning (lest the enemy overtake us) and encouragement ( as God is true to his word, and Jesus is the word made flesh).
Honestly, there is a lot to be said on this topic, you know?

YHWH's heavenly host - divine council/Sons of God - are messengers/warriors/protectors. They are "unfallen". They exist to serve and execute divine missions. Fallen angels are just the opposite. Demons are something different all together (in my educated opinion).
However, to address the context of your post, it's not unreasonable to believe that those who "have it out for us" are unknowingly influenced by the unseen realm. I tend to believe that is the case more so than not. It doesn't mean that there is a demon behind every tree and rock out to get you. Some people are just bitter. Ever heard the phrase "hurt people hurt people" or "wounded people wound people"? Even then I believe it is spiritual and will eventually require some sort of warfare to remedy.

well ill have to get on it then! i should have reasonable time to make a post after work tomorrow. I still love music, and metal, but im definitely a bit more protective with what i allow myself to be part of, or with what i allow into my house!

Some people won't like you but it doesn't mean demons are involved.
i totally agree with you, i suppose im referring more to people who go out of there way to harrass you and what not. like, above and beyond
