Matthew 24:9 "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me."
That does not surprise me at all. As I often say this is a spiritual war. If Satan can discourage or defuse Christians though any means including persecution he will. He is not interested in non-Christian religions and faiths because they are already in his pocket. His competition and enemy is Christians and them alone. We battle spirits of the unseen that is what makes it so devious. When you cannot see your enemy it is harder to do battle. Fortunately we have Christ and the Bible on our side. Through those resources we can see clearly. Thanks for sharing my friend.

Thanks for posting this article! I totally agree with you and would even argue that it has been since it's inception and is proof that there are spiritual forces against it. I think the early church had it just as bad as we do.
