SPIRITUAL FOOD 4 THOUGHT - THE LION WILL LAY DOWN WITH THE LAMB

in #christianity6 years ago

Be careful!

Sometimes, we hear something so often, we just take it for granted that it must be recorded in the Bible somewhere. I share this one as an example of one of those common things that people assume "the Bible says," that is actually no where to be found.

Of course this one is not as important as many of the unbiblical beliefs that are common these days, but I provide it as some small food for thought to help prepare you for what is ahead.

Don't assume what you're being told is accurate, test it!

In the Garden of Eden no animal eat meat.

They did have to. That's why lions will lay down with lambs.

That's right.

Very good lesson. I seem to remember a publication circulating years ago with that picture. Who did that?

There are many things we take for granted thanks for pointing one of them out to need the clarification. I appreciate you clarifying app

I appreciate you checking it out and taking the time to consider.

fantastic video,

well done @papa-pepper

Thanks for this topic, It's kinda funny that we take these things for granted.
I never studied the bible enough to see this! (my bad, lazy)

Okay. So, no biblical reference specifically stating a lamb and lion lying down together. A wolf and lamb are mentioned together, and a young lion with a calf and fatling are mentioned. Interesting how the lion and the lamb have been subsequently paired up—probably because the lion is considered the fiercest of the animals and the lamb the meekest.

I waited to see where you were ultimately going with it, and it sounds like to me it was basically to say, hey, it's not there. So, if I can extrapolate, stop saying it like that.

Does that mean that there won't be a lamb and lion in the general vicinity of one another and the lion won't attack the lamb? In my mind, while it doesn't state it specifically, as you say, it can very easily be construed, and while not a biblical quote, the same idea is there. There will be peace and harmony among all, including in the animal kingdom, similar to what took place in the Garden of Eden before The Fall.

Mind preparation. You've got me wondering what you have in store for us. :)

Oh yeah, the idea is totally there, but that's not really how it is presented. It is presented as if God actually states that in the Bible. Unfortunately, many other things where the idea is NOT actually there are also presented as if they were true based upon what is revealed in the scriptures, but they are not. I just laid this as groundwork. Thanks for checking this out.

Okay. Cool. You're easing us into it slowly. Honestly, from the looks of things, we're going to need it. :)

I totally got where you were going with that, but I have to admit, at first I thought you were going to tear apart my understanding of the new kingdom.

Great @papa-pepper. keep posting, I tell you, you don't know how many life's your touching each day. My spiritual growth has raised up +55💕

A great and much needed reminder to read the Word for ourselves. I also subscribed to your video channel. Stay encouraged my brother and God bless you.

It is good to question and do your research. Not everything is found in the bible.

I agree, and I'm glad that you do too!
