What is God Really Like?

Have you ever wondered what God is really like?
There are so many pictures of Him.
The world sees Him as some bearded figure on a throne in the sky, ready to throw lightning bolts at any second when He is angry or displeased (and which he is quite often)...

Religion sees Him as a judge, barely holding back His judgement,
Full of wrath and fury and only the pleading of Jesus keeps Him from destroying everyone and everything.
He is seen as a task master, a slave driver and an abusive father...

Some religious folks sees Him as simply "the force"or impersonal love.
But do you want to know what the father is really like?
Then, look at the son; Jesus.
Jesus is the expression of the father's personality
He is the perfect revelation, the exact representation of the papa, God.
Jesus is what God looks like with skin on...
He is God's selfie.

Like father like son, a chip of the old block.
Jesus is God, exactly the way He is in the human flesh.
Jesus didn't come to save us from his angry father.
Father and son, made a plan before the ages to save us.

So the next time you start to wonder what God is really like, just look at Jesus.
Look at him smiling at you and if you look over his shoulders, you'll see father God smiling at you too.
His face lit up with love, as He beams, hardly able to contain Himself...
