Reflection#1: God Calms The Storm

Yet when they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, the Lord brought them out of their distress. He calmed the storm and its waves quieted down. So they rejoiced that the waves became quiet, and he led them to their desired haven. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his gracious love and for his awesome deeds on behalf of mankind. Psalm 107:28-31
Life can be really stressful. Especially, if you are living in a Corporate world where targets need to be meet. Our personal and financial problems pile ups. Everyday becomes like a living hell, like you are in a boat sinking.
The media sometimes does no help but even adds up on the problem. Watching the news on the television, checking the feeds on the internet can be crushing. It is hard to bear the killing reports, natural devastation's that claim lives and destroy families.
Troubles and disasters in this world is common. The Bible tells it so. The Bible also makes it clear that we call upon God in prayer in the days of stress and troubles. God hears the prayers of the heart. He is there to walk us through whatever crisis we face. God is able to handle anything we go through.
Other Bible verses in facing your storms in life:
1. You are safe with God.
God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.Psalm 46:1
2. God is in control.
He calmed the raging storm, and the waves became quiet. Psalm 107:29
3. God will rescue you.
The righteous call to the Lord, and he listens; he rescues them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17
4. Always trust in God as your protector.
Whoever goes to the Lord for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty, can say to him, “You are my defender and protector. You are my God; in you I trust.”– Psalm 91:1-2
5. God will give you strength.
But his answer was: “My grace is all you need, for my power is greatest when you are weak.” I am most happy, then, to be proud of my weaknesses, in order to feel the protection of Christ's power over me.– 2 Corinthians 12:9

Amen! When you are with God, everything is very quite and calm, even if you are facing a big storm.
Lately, I've been procrastinating a lot. I scheduled my quite time, but internet overtaken me. Newsfeeds steal my time. I gave in to the works of our enemy which is to steal to kill and to destroy. We may not know it but small things are taking us away from taking time with our FATHER.
You are right @maricrisbasco, internet, steemit itself and other social media is a form of enemy depending on how you use it, we should always go back to our firm foundation which is the Bible that is why we should schedule our daily bread"quite time" and stick to it, no matter how busy our schedule is.
