Do you suffer from selective deafness?
Hello my dear friends Steemiit. Today I write about a topic so simple, that it seems that people take for granted; it is about the way we are disposed to hear the word of God.
Every day our Lord Jesus Christ is speaking to us but we really listen to him or adapt his hearing to the convenience of the moment, that is, we suffer from "selective deafness"; Are we deaf for comfort? Or for not losing fame ?, The status ?, Employment ?, Friendships ?.
We are willing to accept the truth, or on the contrary, we seek support or a shield from others who are also deaf or unconcerned by others and we take shelter in those who think like that.

God wants us to be attentive to everything that happens around us, to seek the truth, to be like children who have their ears open and willing to know the answers and if the solution does not reach you, continue to inquire and ask the Holy Spirit, the wisdom necessary to obtain it, is not only by attending the sermon on the day of the Eucharistic celebration or reading the bible.
While the Lord does not give his word and invites us to listen, what is true, touches our ears, eliminating our deafness, whenever we want and give room to live within each one of us because a heart that is not in tune with the Spirit of God, he has difficulty hearing Perhaps it is worth thinking if we are not deaf to the calls, that God makes us.
Maybe we need our ears to be uncovered so we can listen to what He tells us. I pay attention and listen to the brother who cries out of hunger?,to the one who shouts for cold? Who is thirsty?,A suffering from any illness or disease? To the old man who is alone?
In what other situations am I deaf to God?
What do I do to answer the Lord's call?
Why do you think Jesus speaks to us everyday? God speaks to us through his word. There are times when the Holy Spirit guides us. I'm very suspicious of people who claim that God or Jesus talks to them on a daily basis. They're usually cult leaders.
It is very true, He speaks to us through the holy scriptures, gracias por comentar @barncat
