In Jn 12:46-47 Jesus says;

*I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

These words from the lips of Jesus are challenging, but also inspiring. Challenging because it calls for a standard of life far removed from the realms of ordinary men. They are inspiring because they demonstrate a competence and ability to positively influence the life of another for good.

His words suggest the world, in His day, was in darkness. If the world was in darkness in the days of the Lord, I believe it lies in great darkness now. Despite the darkness, the gloom, the despair and the hopelessness of the case, Jesus says those who hear Him should no longer be held bound in darkness. In other words, His Words should led people out of darkness.

Before the Lord's departure He did say "as my Father sent me, even so send I you". Amazing, Imagine that! It means we too have been sent as Light into the world, that whosoever believes on the message we bring need no longer to be held captive in darkness; by unbelief by diseases, by weakness, by circumstances; those who hear need not be bound anymore!

You are a positive influence of change. Each person God brings you in contact with today, is an opportunity for you to impact that a life purposefully. Be that Agent of Change today, because as He is, so are we in this world. The world awaits you!
