#Love With Action And In Truth

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:17-18 NIV

We live in a world dominated by people who seeks only their welfare and interest in all that they do. Selfishness has become the order of the day instead of selflessness. Love and compassionate words are overused without the requisite actions. We find more people saying God is in control and will do it than those who actually put into action what they say.

Yes God is in control and will do it but He doesn't work in a vacuum but through and with people. Why say God will do it without doing anything about the victim's or the needy person's situation? Let's not love only with words and speech but with action and in truth. We can't do everythings about a situation but we can do something about it. Open your heart of compassion and love in action and in truth this festive season. Have blissful and fruitful day.

Prayer Starter: Dear Lord I am grateful for Your prompting this day to be a vessel of action not just words in reaching out to the needy and vulnerable. I avail myself to be a blessing to many so help me Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ's name.
